An idea i got after a girl (not exactly a friend, but neither a nobody to me) just ask me about how a war between this two factions would result. She likes all that shit of magic world and stuff, so before anything i just said her; "well, science win... just because magic doesn´t exist"
I use (or trying to use) the same style than [link] "Phobs", I´m not a fan of him, however his style is awesome, after all he´s a traditional draftman (I mean, most of the people than predicates the advantages of traditional drawing over the digital is for having an excuse to never admit than they suck on digital media (including me)... but "phobs" is not the case)...
Just a way to start the weekend
El elemento de la mágia puede ser entretenido si se lo usa correctamente y no sólo para insertar a un protagonista boludo que por haceres de la misma magia encuentre resultos sus problemas sin el mínimo esfuerzo.
Well, that tell me that you haven´t seen a lot of good stuff in internet...
I´m just kidding; thank you.
But I shall say one thing:
This is fucking incredible.
This is why humans are the dominate species.
Oh and I think I somewhat independently had similar idea to this, with Fiona (elves) invading a Fantasy Earth from a Fantasy Mars (via portals). They have magic, but the people of Earth have cannons, and muskets, and millions of soldiers.
I've uploaded their distant past, what do you thing?
Besides, the science would have the advantadge of evolution, science advance, meanwhile magic (even in a "phylosophical" way) would be limited to the old and already overcame "knowledge".
Science requires experimentation, research, verification and discussion and all those helps to innovation or revolution of the knowledge. Science is product of the lack of a society or a group to control and understand the physical world, a magical society has a more direct control, therefore less necessity to understand it.
Magic could control energies and just for this, his aproach to the understanding of those would be more "philosophical" than technical or even practical. Magic would be never capable to divide the atom, for example, just because even if it could understand the concept of the "Indivisible particle" it couldn´t prove it more far away than with a "pseudo-religious perception"
