Now, after almost two hour i left the cinema with a strange mix of pasive anger and a stomach happily full with capuccino. The movie i left incomplete; AVATAR.
What happened with the good movies, films with good themes and goos actors (all the people that had worked on Casablanca are rolling in their graves right now)
Cameron show us a really simple theme, based in a cartoonish perception of war and invation, with cartoonish caracters; the daughter of the chief, the jelauos future chief, the hero who discover a new perspective in a new world, the all ambitious business guy and the wacko militar villain. And all, in the middle of a not totally maked up NEW-AGE shit background!!!.

I mean, with out all the special effect crap the movie is reduced to a 30 min. Pocahontas version with blue animistic monkeys, and the concept of war than Cameron show is absurd, yeah, i´m not a militar genious, but even an idiot as me could design a better attack. Second, what is the message, reduce ourselves to the level of savages, the culture has a price, and there was never existed a civilization that hadn´t destroyed part of the natural habitat, i belive in the posibility of the sustentable development, but not live as a fucking cave man just to protect animals as our brothers (and even the cave men had problems with nature)

The film industry is fucking more and more the film art. The last movie i have enjoyed was Inglorious Basterds, and this because Tarantino has his own style, and he´s not a complete saled artist, he still shown te same violent shit of always.
